Great Southern Tour GSTR 3
Ballarat and the Great Ocean Road (GSTR 3) 2 nights stay at Ballarat
Day 1 - Melbourne to Ballarat.
9:00AM Pick up hotel or airport, some Melbourne city sights ( if required) travel to Ballarat to step back in time at 'Sovereign Hill' and relive Australia's exciting Gold Rush era, pan for Gold in the creek, ride the Cobb & Co coaches, yarn to the 'Diggers' in the streets and be part of history. To Americans, this is Australia's 'Colonial Williamsburg' Also we visit the Ballarat Wildlife Park, where you can pat Koalas, meet Wombats and feed the Kangaroos, and many more, a real hands on experience with the Australian animals. After dinner we visit the spectacular 'Sound and Light' show at Sov.Hill featuring 'Blood on the Southern Cross' the story of the Eureka Rebellion by the goldminers in 1854, Australia's only civil uprising.

Day 2 - Great Ocean Road
Travel via western plains and crater lakes district to Port Campbell National park to see spectacular 12 Apostles, London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge, Grotto, Bay on Islands and many more breathtaking examples of nature at it's best. Return to Ballarat through the Otway Nat. Park or call in and taste the Timboon Farmhouse Cheese, winner of many prestigious awards on your return journey to Ballarat.

Day 3 - Return to Melbourne.
Return to Melbourne hotel or airport for onward flight, if time permits morning at leisure and return via Daylesford Mineral springs area , to airport. We can also include a visit to the Great Southern Woolshed, sheep shearing and wool industry demonstrations, in these itineraries.
Extra days can include a visit to the Grampians mountains, very rich in Aboriginal culture, or the Pyrenees Winegrowing district.
